Based in Greenwich, Mr. Gabelli is President of the firm’s parent company, GGCP, Inc. and is a director and Senior Portfolio Manager at GAMCO. He helped lead the initial public offering of GAMCO Investors, Inc. in February 1999. His portfolio assignments have included hedge fund management since 1990 and traditional asset management since 1994. Marc Gabelli has been a regular visitor to India. He is the Co-CEO of Horizon Research since 2012. Mr. Gabelli regularly meets with the management of India based companies including Cairn Energy (now part of Vedanta), HT Media, Eko Mobile Payments . He has appeared on Indian business channels including the national broadcaster. Mr. Gabelli has been the majority shareholder and Chair of M-Tron Industries which through their wholly owned subsidiary PTI has operated in the SEZ in NOIDA since 1995. PTI began operations in 1995 with 7200 ft² and has expanded to 20000 ft². As an ITAR approved facility with 161 strong workforce operations carried out include assembly and test of Filters (LC, Xtal, Microwave), VCXO, TCXO, and OCXO, as well as a variety of subassemblies for customers including Collins, L3 Harris, Rockwell, Honeywell and Northrup Grumman. PTI has also supplied products to ISRO for the Indian space program. He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, a BA from Boston College, and the SEP diploma from Stanford University. He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts. Mr. Gabelli is involved with various educational charities.
